About the Weld Shop
Tualatin Weld Shop -
Monday-Friday
Weld shop is open from 8:00 to 3:30. Upon arrive to the weld shop, please introduce yourself to the weld shop coordinator and/or the weld shop assistant. Booth 27 thru 36 are available for all UA members to practice. Booths 1-20 availability varies and may be in use by apprentice classes on weekdays

Weld Shops in Salem, Springfield, and Eureka will occasionally run open weld hours. Scroll down to view and register for these times.
How are Continuing Education Hours credited for Open Shop Time?
Members can earn time towards their 24 hours for the Continuing Education Reimbursement Check during Open Weld Shop hours. To receive credit, members must use the sign in sheets to record their name, their start time, and end time. If the member does not sign in and out, they will not receive credit. A maximum of 16 hours of Open Weld Shop time (combined with other “Open” Labs and approved Outside Education classes) can be credited towards the 24 hours needed.
Welding Certifications
Members and Travelers will have a chance to earn UA Welding Certifications during the monthly Weld Test Events held at the Tualatin Training Center.
