Training Center Closure:

We are working to schedule BCD approved continuing education classes for Plumbing, Class 5 Boiler and LEB licenses. Please check your current continuing education hours with the License Holder Search Tool on the BCD Website and then click the preferred Training Center links below to register for a class or complete the class request registration. We are working to offer flexible class times, including weeknights, weekdays, and Saturdays. All classes to be held through the Zoom app.

PLEASE NOTE: Registering for a waitlist class does not enroll you in a currently scheduled class.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • All outside training must be pre-approved by the Training Center in order to receive training credit hours.

  • Class sizes are limited, and are filled on first come, first served basis.

  • Pre-registration for classes is required.

  • Training Credit Hours will not be given to those who are not pre-registered and have not paid the required fees.

  • Instructors will not accept payment for classes or books at class time, and will also not sell books during class.

  • Books that have been paid for in advance can be delivered to the purchaser at class with prior arrangements.

  • 75% of scheduled class hours must be attended in order to receive a refund for registration fees.

  • Certification fees and books are non-refundable.

  • No training credit hours will be given for Community College classes.

  • Local 290 members reserve the right over travelers to register for classes. Members cannot ‘bump’ travelers within 48 hours of the class start time.

  • Travelers may register for classes if currently employed by a signatory contractor. Registration fees will not be refunded, unless the traveler cancels the class, by calling the Training Center before the start of the first class, or the traveler is ‘bumped’ by a Local 290 member.

  • Individuals who are disruptive or appear to be intoxicated will be asked to leave the building. In such cases, no training credit or refund will be given.

  • Classes may be occasionally cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or instructor emergency. Every effort will be made to notify registered students. It’s the student’s responsibility to contact the Training Center and verify the class will run as scheduled.
